About Company:

Nationwide Cars founder Ian Whitecross started his career in the motor industry back in the 1970’s, working as a fleet salesman for a Ford dealership in North London.

Having built up a successful fleet department for the dealership, supplying new cars and commercial vehicles to companies such as Hoover, Nestlé and IBM, Ian saw an opportunity in the market for an independent multi-franchised supplier, and as a result, one of the first new car discount centres was launched in the UK.

After several successful years of supplying vehicles to the fleet and industrial market, he decided to expand Nationwide Cars to the retail sector. This would allow him to supply discounted new cars and commercial vehicles across the UK to both companies and private individuals alike.

With over 35 years of experience in the motor industry, operating as a multi-franchised new vehicle broker and with a turnover running into over £150 million pounds of vehicle sales, the success of Ian’s original concept has saved the buying public many millions of pounds on their new vehicle purchases.

Since the launch of our family business back in the 1970s we have adapted many lines of communication, from advertising in established motor magazines and some of the better-known prestigious broadsheets to embracing the power of the web today.

As a family business, Nationwide Cars continues to offer the same high level of customer service and savings as it did when the concept was first launch back in the 1970s. The company is now managed by Ian’s two sons Dominic and Luke, who run the company with the same ethos and efficiency as the previous 35 years.

On behalf of Ian and his team, we would like to wish all of our returning customers past and present many miles of safe and happy motoring.

  1. So where to start. Nationwide Car Sales delivered on their promise. Due to the fire in Japan all new vehicles were delayed for a considerable amount of time and with nothing to do with this company. I will be using them again for future purchases and can’t thank them enough for the service that they provided. This purchase was a huge amount of money and many sleepless nights were had but after speaking with two guys they assured me of the purchase and I have got say I am over the moon with the new vehicle. The delivery went extremely well and on time as promised. Thank you guys, keep up the good work.

  2. Searched for a while for a good deal on a new van in stores and on the internet. I found Nationwide cars on the internet and was a little nervous to spend so much money as i’d never heard of them before or known anyone that had used them. Which is why i’m writing this review… They were great all the way along the process, they confirmed that everything on the order was correct before going ahead, they made me aware of any delays (due to pandemic), updated me on the delivery date way in advanced and made sure it was convenient for me. The after care once the van was delivered was also great, I need a warranty claim so asked what I needed to do and they replied the same day & any other queries I had they replied the same day. Which is brilliant to say they already had their money off me, they still delivered great customer service. I would definitely use these again or recommend to a friend or family. Thanks and please keep up the great customer service, really means alot these days 🙂
